This past weekend, the GIRLS crew returned. Gina, Lori, Pam, Ann, and Kim are continuing a strengthened friendship rooted in the heart of Beaumont a few (Ok too many to remember) years ago.

Last visit, we did the boat and had fun on the water. This trip was a little too chilly to be out on the boat but was IDEAL for hanging out.
I say this at risk of inviting more visits… BUT… it is a laughter filled environment when all are here. There was a LOT of Food and a solid dose of adult beverages. Each time they are here, I believe they get closer and get to know each other better.
Shocker
Everyone is going through stuff. Not all of it is Illness stuff. It is just stuff. Adulting. Life.
And that is ok. It is exactly where everyone is supposed to be at this time.
Michele had another round of Chemo last week. It was almost two years ago that we had the wind knocked out of us. Today, we have a new norm. It involves Dr. Visits, Medicines, and lab work. Last night she “drove for the first time at night” and realized that it was a a bigger challenge than two years ago.
Stuff.
Yet… We are happy to be hear and experiencing life.
NEED MORE PRAYERS
A short time ago, my Brother-In-Law, Raymond “Jay” Prejean was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. He is just starting his journey now. So far is tolerating the chemo and radiation well. It is just the beginning. My sister, Missy (Michelle), and I talked last night and were connecting on the “hidden” sides of the treatments. The things we don’t write about in the blogs. They have had a busy few weeks and have more ahead.
Please if you know them, and even if you don’t, go over to https://raymondscancerjourney.com and subscribe and follow along and offer up your prayers. Myself and my other sister Mona are helping write that blog with Missy.
Life Continues
I want to encourage everyone to keep living life everyday. We have been blessed with Old Friends and new ones that share this believe. thank you all and let’s continue the journey. TOGETHER.
