We had a wonderful and quiet week at home for thanksgiving. Today we go through the MD Anderson all day visit and see where the next part of this journey takes us. She did extremely well on the second round of chemo. Last night, blood work showed low platelet counts so we spent some moreContinue reading “MD Anderson day”

Cycle 2!
After a weekend visit from Christopher, we got last minute items done. Early Tuesday morning we took a nice leisurely ride back down to Galveston. A different view All checked in. It is interesting that you basically get a call with your room number in the morning. You then stop at the front desk asContinue reading “Cycle 2!”
Surgery complete.
Well surgery went a little long but it is done and she is in recovery. And we should be able to go home tonight instead of staying over. The treatments can continue and that should be early next week. It may be no surprise that when they went in they discovered that the space toContinue reading “Surgery complete.”
We did a thing today
We had a quiet but busy day. Blood work done and it is continuing to look good! We have more doctors and appointments tomorrow as well. The hair is continuing to shed and Michele starting trying out her scarfs and head coverings. Cycle 1 is done
Today. Well. Michele is feeling like herself again. We have had a good quiet day. Started off with a nap and waited for the doctors. Tuesday and she is doing well
Today was a peaceful day. Another shower and new sheets and clothes. For hospitals this is awesome. Prayers are working! She just started her day 4 dose. I’ll be back later with more from the day. Til then.
Day 2 of chemo begins.
Moments ago she received her first dose of day 2 of the regimen. She has been able to rest peacefully all day. She has an eye cover to block the light and soothing sleep music on Spotify. Doctors are watching the platelet counts tonight and expect that they will drop below the level needed whereContinue reading “Day 2 of chemo begins.”
Love the flowers.
And as we go through chemo we have to watch it a bit. When we head home we will love them more. Thanks to everyone. And for your understanding – Mike.

Enter an Angel Jordan Fuller
This pic was at 5:45am today, as she’s turning on more chemo to help me get well. The dark black bag on top left of the medicine drip line, is the toxic stuff killing my cells. They cover it because it’s so dangerous. Jordan is only one of the many fabulous caregivers at UTMB. SheContinue reading “Enter an Angel Jordan Fuller”
